Rechargeable flashlights that reach far and keep going
Zoomable tactical torches, lights with a COB work lamp, 365 nm UV black lights and pocket EDC lights: the Shadowhawk lineup sold on Amazon UK, model by model.
One brand, a light for every dark corner
Shadowhawk makes aluminium LED flashlights that charge over USB-C and, on many models, double as a small power bank for your phone. Most have a head that slides to switch between a wide floodlight and a long-range spot.
The range covers long-throw tactical torches, lights with an extra COB side lamp and red light, 365 nm UV black lights for stains and minerals, and small everyday-carry lights. Below is every Shadowhawk model we found in stock on this marketplace; single torches and 2-packs have their own cards.

S1479 Flashlight with Two Batteries
Same zoomable XHP70.2 head as the S1476, but the kit comes with two rechargeable batteries: while one is in use the other stays charged, so a five-second swap gives up to 24 hours of light. A precise LCD shows the battery in 1 % steps, USB-C charges it and USB-A powers a phone. Five modes, a three-second press switches it off from any mode, IP67 aluminium body.

S1989 Flashlight with Ignition Lens
A bigger XHM160.2 LED with stepless zoom from a wide flood to a narrow spot, plus a screw-on ignition lens: in full spot mode it focuses the beam enough to light dry paper or tinder for a fire. A 6000 mAh battery gives over 12 hours on low, charges in two to three hours over USB-C and can charge a phone. Soft-start mode changes, LCD in 1 % steps, IP67.

Which Shadowhawk fits your night?
The situations these lights are built for.

For distance
Slide the head forward for a narrow spot that picks out a path, a dog or a road sign far ahead; pull it back for a wide flood around a campsite or a garden during a power cut.

For hands-free work
A COB side panel gives soft, even light for a tent, a table or an engine bay, and red light keeps your night vision. Magnet bases and multi-LED heads make them useful in the car and workshop.

For what you cannot see
A filtered 365 nm UV light shows pet urine on carpets, stains in hotel rooms, scorpions, fluorescent minerals and banknote security marks far more clearly than a cheap 395 nm light.

What Shadowhawk lights have in common
Zoom head
Slide or pull the head to go from a wide flood to a long-range spot.
USB-C rechargeable
Large batteries charge over USB-C; many models also charge a phone.
Built for weather
Aluminium bodies, sealed against rain, IP67 on most models.
Modes for every job
High, medium, low, strobe and SOS, plus side, red or UV light on some models.
Using and charging a Shadowhawk flashlight
A short routine based on the instructions in the listings. Buttons differ slightly by model; the manual in the box shows the exact sequence.
Remove the battery film
Many kits ship with a protective film or insulation sheet on the battery. Unscrew the tail cap, take it off, and insert the battery with the positive end toward the head.
Charge before first use
Plug the supplied USB-C cable into the torch (or into the battery on some models). The LEDs or LCD show the level; most kits are full in two to six hours.
Pick a mode
Click the switch to turn on, then short-press to step through high, medium, low, strobe and SOS. On most models a three-second press switches the light off from any mode.
Zoom the beam
Slide or pull the head forward for a long spot and back for a wide flood. Point it away from eyes: the spot is intense.
Use the second light
On two-switch models the second button controls the COB side light, red light or UV. On the S1670 a quick double click switches to the COB lamp.
Swap or back up the battery
If the kit includes a second battery or an AAA holder, keep it charged or filled: swap it in when the LCD runs low, or use AAA cells when you cannot recharge.
Care & safety
Never shine the spot into anyone’s eyes. The head gets warm on high; step down a mode for long use. Keep the O-rings clean and the tail cap screwed tight for water resistance, use the supplied cable, and store the battery partly charged if you will not use the light for months. Remove the ignition lens after use.
Quick fixes
- It does not turn on out of the box.Check for a protective film on the battery and that the battery points the right way, then charge it fully.
- The light dims after a few minutes on high. That is thermal protection keeping the LED and battery cool. Step down to medium for long use.
- It will not switch off.Hold the switch for about three seconds; on most models this turns the light off from any mode.
- The UV light looks weak in a bright room.UV fluorescence needs darkness. Dim the room and hold the light 20–50 cm from the surface.
What buyers say
Picked from 4- and 5-star Amazon reviews of these models.
“Great little torch, bright light, fits in my pocket, I keep one in my car all the time, and I have one I use the rest of the time, at work and dog walking, I find it holds its charge well and the indicator tells you how much charge you have left, I'd recommend it”
“Brilliant torch well worth the price I already have 2 older versions of these torches but this one comes with 2 rechargeable batteries and an adapter for 3 triple A batteries, also has 5 different light functions and a USB port, a must for anyone going out in the dark or walking the dog.”
“I love this. I take it to the beach to try and find glowing stones! It’s lightweight but feels good quality, durable so far, great value for money and bright enough to make anything that glows, glow!”
“Using this torch for the first time last night, while walking back from work, I was impressed how very powerful the torch is! The range and brightness of the light is amazing!!,Picking out detail from a big distance, gave me a good deal of personal reassurance and safety while walking back from work.”
Frequently asked questions
Are the lumen numbers in the listings real?
Treat figures like 500,000 or 1,000,000 lumens as marketing. Buyers describe these lights as very bright for their size and price, but no handheld torch reaches those values. That is why this guide lists the LED, beam distance and runtime instead.
What is the difference between 365 nm and 395 nm UV?
365 nm lights with a filter lens emit almost no visible purple glow, so stains, urine and minerals fluoresce clearly. 395 nm lights look brighter purple but wash out the details. The S1979, S1988 and S1612 are 365 nm; the S1929 has a 395 nm UV LED next to its white light.
Can the UV flashlight find pet urine?
Yes. In a dark room, dried urine on carpets, sofas and mattresses glows under 365 nm light. Hold the torch close to the surface and move slowly.
What is the COB side light for?
It is a flat panel on the side of the torch that gives soft, wide light for reading in a tent, working on a car or lighting a table, without the glare of the main beam. Most add red and flashing modes for signalling.
How does the ignition lens of the S1989 work?
Screw the lens onto the head, zoom fully to spot, hold it 2–3 cm from dry paper or tinder and adjust until the light point is smallest. Dry material usually catches in about 30 seconds. Remove the lens right after use, it gets hot.
Do the flashlights work with normal batteries?
Many kits (S1476, S1695, S1618, S1670, S1007, S1979, S1988, S1929) include a holder for three AAA cells as a backup to the rechargeable battery. Models with a built-in battery, such as the S1628, S1687 and S1637, only charge over USB.
Can I charge my phone from the flashlight?
Many models have a USB-A output and work as a small power bank in an emergency. Look for “Charges your phone” in the model tags above.
Are Shadowhawk flashlights waterproof?
Most models are IP67: they withstand heavy rain and brief immersion, but they are not diving lights. Keep the tail cap and USB cover closed.
How long does the battery last?
On the low mode, the listings give 8 to 16 hours depending on the model; the S1479 kit reaches about 24 hours with its two batteries. On high, expect much less, and the light steps down when it gets warm.
Why does the torch get hot?
High-power LEDs turn part of their energy into heat. The aluminium body spreads it, and the light reduces output to protect itself. For long use, medium mode is the better choice.
